General terms and quality assurance: Mayra Pachado Psychology

The General terms and quality assurance were last updated on September 15, 2024.

Mayra Pachado Psychology is an independent psychology practice. You can come to my practice for psychological assessments and treatments.

I work within the framework of evidence-based practice in psychology, as defined by the American Psychological Association (APA). Evidence-based practice in psychology (EBPP) is 'the integration of the best available research with clinical expertise in the context of patient characteristics, culture, and preferences.' My approach includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Process-based Therapy (PBT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), and Mindfulness, applying these methods to deliver effective, personalized care.

I am registered at the Dutch Association of Psychologists (Nederlands Instituut van Psychologen, NIP) under the title PSYCHOLOOG NIP, with NIP-number 246048.

Furthermore, I am registered at the Brazilian Federal Council of Psychology, Regional Council of Psychology - 7th Region (Conselho Federal De Psicologia, Conselho Regional De Psicologia - 7a Região) with the register number 07/16613.

Article 2. Appointments, Payment, Cancellation

2.1 Treatment takes place by appointment.

Article 3. Liability

3.1 A consultation takes 60 minutes, of which 10 minutes are spend on administrative tasks.

3.2 A client is responsible for their psychosocial actions and well-being before, during, and after psychological treatment. If there is serious risk behaviour, in which the client or their environment is in danger, Mayra Pachado Psychology reserves the right to terminate the appointment(s) due to insufficient expertise and/or treatment options.

3.3 Mayra Pachado Psychology accepts no liability for damage caused by, or in connection with services provided, unless the client demonstrates that the damage was caused by intent, or gross negligence, on part of Mayra Pachado Psychology.

Article 4. Quality assurance and complaints

Clients have the right to file a complaint if they are dissatisfied with their care. The Quality, Complaints, and Disputes Care Act (Wkkgz) ensures that all healthcare providers, including self-employed healthcare providers like Mayra Pacheco Pachado, have a clear and accessible process for handling complaints. The Wkkgz aims to offer clients an accessible and prompt method for addressing complaints, encouraging both healthcare providers and clients to work together to resolve issues. This process not only meets legal requirements but also serves as an important opportunity to improve the quality of care by learning from complaints and unwanted events. Thus, in compliance with the Wkkgz, Mayra Pacheco Psychology follows these regulations.

If you have a complaint, it is appreciated that you first inform me directly so we can try to resolve the issue together. If a discussion does not lead to a resolution, an independent complaints officer, from Zorg voor Zzp, will handle the process further. You can submit it by sending an email to info@zorgvoorzzp.nl. One of their complaints officers will contact you as soon as possible and will do everything they can to find a suitable solution. For more details, check this information document (in English).
